The Blobfish

The blobfish is probably one of the ugliest creatures you will ever see. They live in and around the coast of Australia and Tasmania at a depth of 800 meters. They are like a big blob of jelly (hence the name) only larger with eyes, nose and a mouth. They can grow up to 2 ft long which is the equivalent of 12 inches It has absolutely no muscles at all so it just looks like a big lump of jelly with a scowl-like or frowning expression. It whole body is shaped like a pyramid in a strange way. Many people across the web agree that this fish looks like Squidward from SpongeBob. The main reason this fish is endangered is because of overfishing. Many fishermen sink their nets to collect crabs and other deep sea fish then drag them up with the ugly blobby fish in it.
